Keyla Whitenhill is the policy analyst at The SCAN Foundation. She evaluates and reports real time information on state and federal legislation and regulation related to aging, health, and long-term care issues.
 
Prior to joining the SCAN Foundation, Ms. Whitenhill worked as a Health Care Analyst with the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) where she co-authored reports and testimony on a variety of health care issues. Her most recent contribution was to a GAO report on CMS’s oversight of the survey and certification of state health care facilities. Ms. Whitenhill has also served as a Study Coordinator for USC’s Maternal Child & Adolescent Center where she managed day-to-day operations for HIV-related clinical studies.
 
Ms. Whitenhill holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health from Emory University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Physiological Sciences from UCLA.
