The SCAN Foundation was created through a $205 million contribution from the not-for-profit SCAN Health Plan. The establishment of the Foundation is part of SCAN’s continuing commitment to community benefit.
The SCAN Foundation is focused primarily on the healthcare needs of California’s seniors.
When fully operational, The SCAN Foundation will be one of the nation’s largest
geriatric-focused
foundations.
The SCAN Foundation’s vision is a society where seniors receive medical treatment and human services that are integrated in the setting most appropriate to their needs and with the greatest likelihood of a healthy, independent life.
SCAN Health Plan is itself a nonprofit organization whose mission is to support healthy and independent aging. SCAN Health Plan is a Medicare Advantage Plan serving much of Southern California and portions of Arizona.
