Strategy 2.1.3 - Evaluated existing long-term care legislation and regulations and develop proposals to improve such legislation and regulation.
California is facing a historic budget shortfall that has been compounded by complex political and tax limitations. The State has eliminated the $26 billion budget deficit to a large extent by reducing programs. Program cuts or eliminations that most directly impact frail older adults include the Linkages Program, In-Home Supportive Services, Medi-Cal support for the 38,000 recipients of Adult Day Health Care, among others.
