Antes de unirse a la Fundaci\u00f3n SCAN, Josh asesor\u00f3 al exsecretario del Departamento de Salud y Servicios Humanos de EE. UU., Xavier Becerra, sobre pol\u00edticas de pago de Medicare, iniciativas de atenci\u00f3n a largo plazo y pol\u00edticas para promover la competencia en la atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica. Su trabajo se centr\u00f3 en mejorar los modelos de pago hospitalario y fortalecer el papel de Medicare en la prestaci\u00f3n de atenci\u00f3n de alta calidad. Anteriormente, trabaj\u00f3 para el Comit\u00e9 de Envejecimiento del Senado de los Estados Unidos bajo la presidencia de Bob Casey, donde desempe\u00f1\u00f3 un papel clave en el desarrollo de pol\u00edticas relacionadas con los servicios domiciliarios y comunitarios de Medicaid y los beneficiarios con doble elegibilidad, contribuyendo a la creaci\u00f3n de iniciativas que apoyan a los estadounidenses mayores en el acceso a servicios y apoyos a largo plazo.
