Megan Juring serves as a Program Officer for the Foundation. Ms. Juring has an extensive career in state civil service, including policy development and program administration for long-term services and supports for older adults and individuals with disabilities of all ages. Prior to joining the Foundation, Ms. Juring was Deputy Director for Independent Living and Community Access at the Department of Rehabilitation, and was appointed twice by Governor Brown to the State Independent Living Council. She served as an Assistant Secretary for Olmstead and Aging issues in the California Health and Human Services Agency and worked in partnership with the California Council of the Alzheimer’s Association to develop the California State Alzheimer’s Disease Plan. Previously, Ms. Juring was the Project Director for California’s Medicaid Infrastructure Grant, aimed at increasing and maintaining access to necessary long-term services and supports for individuals with disabilities who are employed. Ms. Juring holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Behavioral Science from the University of California, Davis.
