    Lower-income older Californians report higher levels of social isolation and symptoms of depression – findings from a 2022 survey of adults age 55 and older in California.

    In partnership with the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) Office of Medicare Innovation and Integration and The SCAN Foundation, NORC at the University of Chicago conducted this survey of adults age 55 and older living in California.

    The survey includes 1,540 interviews conducted between January 25 and February 10, 2022, online and by phone in English and Spanish.
