Brendan Ahern is The SCAN Foundation’s Director of Impact Investments. In addition to overseeing TSF’s active mandate of investing to improve the health and wellbeing of older Americans, he also helps shape the foundation’s mission-aligned investment strategy for its $260M in assets under management. Brendan is based in Boston and brings 15 years of experience in impact investing, investment banking, and consulting across the US and emerging markets.
Prior to joining TSF, Brendan worked for Accion International, a global nonprofit known for its work in financial inclusion, where he led growth-stage investments in the Americas and managed a $250 million portfolio. Brendan also worked for BCG earlier in his career and studied at Cornell University, the University of Pennsylvania, and Pace University. In his spare time, he enjoys competitive running and traveling.
