We place the voices of older adults, especially those from communities of color, rural areas, and lower-income backgrounds, at the center of everything we do. By elevating lived experiences through grants like The People Say, we ensure that policies and programs reflect older adults’ real needs and priorities. Through partnerships with community organizations, advocates, and leaders with lived experience, we work to ensure that those most impacted help shape the decisions, solutions, and systems that affect their lives.

Our funding supports inclusive research that fills knowledge gaps and provides actionable insights for policymakers and program leaders. We focus on data that reflects diverse populations and informs equitable, people-centered policy change.

We fund cross-sector partnerships and initiatives like California’s Equity Community Organizing (ECO) Groups that connect stakeholders across sectors—including individuals with lived experience—to align strategies, foster collaboration, and build momentum for policy and systems change that supports aging in home and community.

Through storytelling, dissemination, and knowledge-sharing grants, we elevate what works. From local innovations to national policy lessons, we help scale solutions that improve the lives of older adults.
