In a comprehensive analysis of older adults’ care preferences, Marc Cohen, PhD, and his team at The LeadingAge LTSS Center @UMass Boston and Community Catalyst, with funding from The SCAN Foundation, found that since 2020, more older adults feel their care preferences are being usually/ always considered, but their experiences vary, highlighting inequities.

These inequities cut across race/ethnicity, age, income, insurance type, marital/partnership status, and location.
