Stacey Manley, MPA is Senior Director of Communications at The SCAN Foundation and leads our communications practice to advance TSF’s role in building an equitable health and aging infrastructure that reflects the perspectives, preferences, and needs of older adults.
With more than 20 years of experience across philanthropy, healthcare, and mission-driven organizations, Stacey brings a track record of translating institutional strategies into compelling narratives to deepen public understanding, strengthen cross-sector partnerships, and support systems change. His work has aligned communications with organizational strategy and policy engagement to ensure that program operations, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement work in concert to advance impact.
Prior to joining TSF, Stacey served as SVP, Chief Engagement Officer at Hospice East Bay, where he led stakeholder engagement, reputation management, and community outreach to strengthen relationships across the hospice ecosystem during a period of significant change. Earlier, as Vice President of Communications at East Bay Community Foundation, he helped bring the Foundation’s equity framework to life through a unified brand narrative, aligned with its strategy to leverage philanthropic capital at scale. During his tenure, the Foundation doubled its assets and was recognized by Inside Philanthropy as the nation’s “Boldest Community Foundation.”
Stacey also served as Vice President of Communications and Marketing at Medicines360, a nonprofit pharmaceutical company and began his career in consumer advertising, leading campaigns for brands including The Walt Disney Company, Kraft Foods, LinkedIn, and Coors Brewing Company.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Maryland and a master’s degree in public administration from Baruch College, CUNY. Stacey lives in Oakland, California, with his wife and two children.
