Ivelisse R. Estrada

Ivelisse R. Estrada’s career spans over three decades creating and executing wide-scale strategic media, communications, and public affairs initiatives in partnership with business, government, and nonprofit sectors.

Most recently at Univision Communications Inc., the leading media company serving Hispanic America, she held the position of Senior Vice President of Corporate and Community Empowerment. Ms. Estrada created and oversaw the company’s division responsible for the overall development and coordination of community relations and pro-social strategies and initiatives, leveraging all its media assets. These efforts focused on key issues affecting the U.S. Hispanic community including health, education, civic engagement, and financial education. In recognition of her efforts, she was honored with many awards including two Peabody Awards.

Ms. Estrada began her 25-year career with Univision as Director of Communications at KMEX-TV, Channel 34, the flagship station of the Univision Television Group in Los Angeles, where she was responsible for overseeing the station’s communications department and for developing and coordinating all public relations, community outreach, and media relations activities. Before joining KMEX, Ms. Estrada served as Account Supervisor with a Los Angeles public relations agency. She also served as a Washington-based Associate Producer and on-air Reporter for SIN national news, the predecessor of Univision.

Ms. Estrada earned her undergraduate degree in liberal arts from Barnard College, a master’s degree from Princeton University, and a master’s degree from Harvard University.
