Sandy Peters co-founded Two Bays Audit and Risk Solutions, a consulting firm providing audit, risk and finance services in 2022. Prior to that, Sandy was Vice President, Internal Audit Services at SCAN Group, a Medicare Advantage Health Plan. She joined SCAN in 2020 and lead Internal Audit Services, the Special Investigations Unit, and developed the organization’s enterprise risk management program.
Before joining SCAN, Sandy was an Executive Director of Internal Audit Services at Kaiser Permanente where in addition to leading a team of internal auditors and providing fraud investigation services, she also developed and implemented a functional risk assessment process to complement the organization’s enterprise risk management program. Prior to Kaiser, Sandy held leadership positions in internal audit, risk management, finance and accounting, and compliance for global companies including McKesson Corporation, Dole Food Company, Ernst & Young, LLP, General Electric, and Transamerica. Sandy is a graduate of Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and she is an active CPA licensed in Iowa.
